In’Lakech; Magical Mayan greeting meaning “I am another yourself.

Hello and Welcome to In’Lakech by Dany !  Thats me(the one with all the red hair) and a bunch of my beautiful and wacky friends,doing what we do best........having fun and laughing lots!  I am Dany and it is my pleasure to present my fun, funky and freeing line of clothing that I design and produce in Playa del Carmen, in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico.I have a small atelier where I work with wonderful woman, mostly Mayan, who do the sewing and also the embroidery which is done the same way it has been done for hundreds of years, basically by hand! My inspiration…?Life, the beauty and the fullness of being a woman, the movement of the sea, dancing under the Full Moon,love,mamahood as in hot mama or being a mama! and ......oh, and the weather! It is really hot down here so all my cloths are made from %100 Mexican cotton.

Each piece of clothing is sewed by one woman from beginning to end, there are no assembly lines here and many garments have either pieces of antique hand embroidered Indian saris or are hand embroidered by Mayan woman with the beautiful flower motifs that are used in their “huipils”……………so each pieces is truly unique.

Also about my sizes.....,go to the size chart and fill in your measurements and we will make your cloths to your specific measurements and that they will fit perfectly! That is the kind of service that we will give you here at In’Lakech by Dany!

I also love making one of a kind pieces so if you have a special occasion coming up and you need that magical perfect something….or something’s… maybe an all white wedding, or Mom and Daughter matching dresses(by the way  Moms ,I can do all my dresses in sizes 1 year and up!)….please get in touch with me and we can get creative together! P.S…..if there are pieces that you love but would like to say swap the top of this dress and put it on the bottom of the other, it is possible! Just write me a note and we figure out together what it is that you want.
